We are Oliver & Michèle, the founders of BIKEJACK.
In the fall of 2020, we planned a trip with our e-bikes. To protect our bikes during transport on the trailer hitch, we searched Bike Covers on the internet. A few frustrating bad purchases later, we started our vacation without a bike transport cover. However, the idea of a perfectly fitting cover wouldn’t let us go, so we said to ourselves “let’s try it ourselves”. In November 2020, we made the first prototype – without any sewing experience mind you. ; ) A few prototypes later, we had the first BIKEJACK bike transport cover made by a sewing company that is still our reliable partner today.

In 2021, we invested a lot of time and effort in search of a fabric that meets our quality requirements for the perfect bicycle transport protection. This intensive research then clearly showed us a sad aspect – the issue of environmental pollution by the textile industry. Since we privately have been placing great value on a healthy, plant-based diet for years in order to protect the animals, our environment and ourselves, it was clear to us that there must be another way. We are therefore very proud with BIKEJACK, which consists of 75% recycled material, to have a part in saving the oceans. ♥

Our sustainable, recycled fabric from Italy is handmade under fair conditions with great attention to detail in a small business. With us in Vienna, the BIKEJACK covers are individually controlled, packed and shipped.
We attach great importance to quality, sustainability, fair working conditions and short transport routes. Therefore, it is important to us that our partner and production companies with which we work hand in hand, are within a short distance. This way we can regularly see for ourselves and maintain good partnerships. In addition: what is manufactured in EU countries ensures that labor law and environmental standards are respected. Transport routes are kept short, local is supported. “Made in Europe” minimizes CO2 emissions and guarantees high quality with social responsibility.
